Prof. Hamid Kirmani taught Persian at Aligarh Muslim University for two decades and trained in Nastaliq calligraphy under Ustad Khursheed Alam. He reads Rumi, Hafiz, and Saadi in the original and teaches them the traditional way — verse by verse, story by story.
